At the end of March of this year, the new testing protocol PE 1/38, 2020 becomes effective according to the Exempt Resolution #14224 of the Superintendence of Electricity and Fuels published on October 12, 2023.
The current protocol integrates all the battery chargers for domestic use that are on the market, such as: (1) Battery chargers up to 24Vdc and 50 VA to be used in children's toys (2) Battery chargers for electric cycles (3) Battery chargers up to 9Vdc (AA, AAA, AAAA, C, D, N, 9V, 18650, 16340, 17640, 17650, 18350 and their equivalent designations). (3) Battery chargers up to 9Vdc (AA, AAA, AAAA, C, D, N, 9V, 18650, 16340, 17650, 18350 and their equivalent designations), regardless of their use.
