INGCER S.A. is a service company in certification of electrical and fuel products area, present in chilean market since 1997. It was created in 1996 by a team of professionals in the engineering area which its main manager, Sandra Rodriguez Lara, stands out. Today she is the general manager of the company. Since then, INGCER S.A. has positioned itself in the market, offering services of certification and testing of electrical products and fuels. At present is one of the most important national companies in the field. On September 2nd, 1997, INGCER was authorized by the Superintendence of Electricity and Fuels (SEC) to develop certification activities in electrical appliances, automatic and manual switches. In this way, it began its first activities in offices located in Providencia, Santiago de Chile. At the end of the nineties it is firmly positioned within the market, which allows that as of year 2000 it is established in La Florida Commune but at this time was a considerable extension of its base of operations, laboratory of tests for electrical appliance products and plugs is constructed, authorized by the Superintendence of Electricity and Fuel. Two years later the SEC issues an exempt resolution that authorizes INGCER S.A. to develop certification activities in electrical conductors, expanding again the catalogue of services offered. In 2005, INGCER S.A. implements and certifies voluntarily a quality management system according to ISO 9001-2000 standards, through the international systems certification company Bureau Veritas. The implementation and subsequent certification of its quality management system (QMS) was carried out with the contribution of CORFO funds from INNOVA-Chile. By the end of that same year, a new property was acquired in the commune of Santiago, in Padre Orellana 1298. Three years later a supreme decree comes into force, by order of the Superintendence, in which it forces all the certification organisms and laboratories of tests to obtain an accreditation on the part of the National Institute of Normalization (INN), accreditation that INGCER S.A. obtained during year 2007 for organism and laboratory. One year later, and thanks to the constant activity within the market, a fuel laboratory is implemented which was authorized during the same year. Already with 10 years of validity in the market we allow ourselves to realize an extensive retrospective of the activities that, up to the date were executed, sizing growth obtained in a great anniversary celebration together with our nearby clients. During the following years new SEC authorizations were added both in the agency and the laboratory, but it was not until 2012 when an exponential jump was made. A new property was acquired in the commune of La Cisterna to install a laboratory focused on fuels, low voltage materials and conductors. At the same time, in the commune of Antuco (Biobío Region), a category C fire chamber was opened to test conductors.
In the year 2019 INGCER decides to open a commercial office in the walled area of the Free Zone of Iquique in order to cover new challenges from the customs area in the north of the country.
To date, INGCER S.A. has six offices distributed in 3 districts of the capital city, in addition to a laboratory and a commercial office in the regions:
Padre Orellana headquarters, in the commune of Santiago, where the Energy Efficiency laboratory is located.
José Domingo Cañas headquarters, inaugurated in 2014, serves as the head office and houses the certifying body, regular control, finance and general management departments.
